The Church complex is situated on Lomond Road off the main A811 Balloch to Stirling Road. There is a bus stop close to the entrance at Ben Lomond Walk and we are a short walk from Balloch train station. CHURCH
This is a modern building (foundation stone laid in 1963). Disabled access to both the church and halls was installed in 2006. The sanctuary can seat 250 people and is fitted with a hearing loop system, and AV screens and mixing desk. Access to the sanctuary is through the Thistle Chapel and we have a central and two side aisles. In 2011, the upright pine pews were replaced with cushioned seats, providing increased comfort for worshipers. We have a modern Allen organ; a Clavinova and a baby grand piano. With it’s good acoustic, the church can be used as a concert or recital venue.
THISTLE CHAPEL
Created at the rear of the sanctuary to provide a smaller worship area and a meeting space. This can be used for small weddings.
LARGE HALL
The large hall is multi-functional from sports use to drama and musical performance from the stage. In auditorium setting, it will seat 200; Conference style 50 – 60; cafe style 80 (10 tables of 8). There is one badminton court marked on the hard wood floor. The stage has wings and lighting, an AV system and induction loop,. There is a piano in the large hall. Full serving hatch to the kitchen is provided. There is a toilet off the stage area and fire exit door.
LESSER HALL
The lesser hall is suitable for smaller meetings and will comfortably seat 30 – 40 people. It has large AV screen with HDMI connector and induction loop.It can also be used as a tea room as it has a hatch to the kitchen. It has large windows on the north side, and houses our Bookroom Cafe on last Saturday morning of each month.
KITCHEN
This is a large area which was refurbished in 2015 and is well equipped. There is 1 industrial electric oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Wall-mounted water boilers can be used for teas & coffees. Serving hatches are available to both halls.
REST ROOMS
There is a disabled toilet on the hall level and male and female rest rooms on the church level. There is also a toilet in the vestibule and in the stage area.
FIRE SAFETY
A fire alarm and emergency lighting has been installed throughout the complex. Smoking is not allowed on church premises.
CAR PARK
The car park has 4 disabled bays adjacent to the church and hall entrances and marked spaces for a further 20 cars. There is a cross hatched area in front of the entrance to church and disabled ramp to allow access for emergency vehicles.
